Weekly Rejuvenation

Hey! How's it going? I can't believe school is almost out and the summer months are starting! Im really excited to make some new routines and enjoy more down time. My kids are in year round school so we only have a month and a half of break, but I am going to enjoy every minute of it! At this stage of my life I don't get much time to be by myself in my days, which I don't mind, but it would be nice to have a little more. I do try to prioritize a weekly rejuvenation at some point during my week. Whether it's over the weekend or just one weeknight that I put aside other things and focus on myself. I wanted to share some of the things I do make me feel pampered and refreshed at home and gives me more energy to tackle the rest of the week!
Stretch - I've actually started doing this a few times a week now and I am amazed at the improvement in how I feel. It helps me feel more joy for my body and relaxed and have less pain. It can be done anytime of day, first thing in the morning to energize your spirit and body, in the afternoon to refresh your mind, or in the evening to relax and unwind. Add it to your routine!
Exfoliate - I can't tell you how much I love this! It's so rejuvenating! There are so many ways to exfoliate and I have a few different routines. For my body I use a dry brush. I use this mostly before I shower or sometimes just before bed when I take my clothes off for sleep. You start on the limbs and brush into the body. It improves circulation and cell turnover and is the best tingly feeling. Also I exfoliate my scalp before bed a few times a week with a scalp massaging thing like the ones you can use in the shower with shampoo, but just do it on my dry hair before bed. Feels so good! For my face I have two different ways, most days I use an oil cleanser to clean off the day and when I am rubbing that on my face I'll add some bentinite clay mixed with salt and just exfoliate with that and rinse it off with a wet face towel. I also have a brush I use in the shower on my face with my face wash. Lastly, I keep a foot file in the shower and use that to keep my feet nice a soft. I love exfoliating so much and it definitely rejuvinates me every single time!!
Go outside - this is my dose of daily rejuvenation. Even just stepping out to sit quietly by myself and look around at our beautiful earth. Sometimes I'll say a gratitude prayer and just take in the peace. Breath deeply and feel the new energy come to your mind and spirit!
As I get ready for summer and make some routines for the kids I'll be adding in a little more time to do things for me! I hope you do too!
